Stunning Welsh blanket/shawl in scarlet red wool flannel with traditional black stripe down one side. Woven by Daniel Harris at Elvet Woollen Mill in Cynwyl Elfed, Carmarthenshire, West Wales. This mill has just been rescued & this is one of the first blankets they made with the beautifully soft wool that the new Weaver Dan inherited with the Mill. Handmade on a heritage weaving loom. It is approximately 2m x 2.5 with a fulled twisted fringe to 2 ends so perfect for a double/king bed but also soft & large/lightweight enough to wrap baby in & use as a traditional Welsh shawl. Would make a wonderful gift for a new baby.
