Stunning Welsh blanket/shawl in teal wool with traditional narrow loom stripe design in scarlet red, daffodil yellow & black as coal. Woven by Daniel Harris at Elvet Woollen Mill in Cynwyl Elfed, Carmarthenshire, West Wales. This mill has just been rescued & this is one of the first blankets they made with the beautifully soft wool that the new Weaver Dan inherited with the Mill. Handmade on a heritage weaving loom. It is approximately 2m x 2.5 with a fulled twisted fringe to 2 ends so perfect for a double/king bed but also soft & large/lightweight enough to wrap baby in & use as a traditional Welsh shawl. Would make a wonderful gift.
