Now here's a rare find! Beautiful Vintage Welsh wool tapestry rug in gorgeous reversible deep pinks. Thick Welsh wool suitable for the floor but would work equally well as a table runner or across the bottom of the bed. Woven on a traditional loom in Trefriw Woollen Mill in their 'Star' design. Trefriw is the last surviving Mill in North Wales. Good condition. Measures approx 180cms x 90cms.
Back in the day there were 300 working woollen mills in Wales all weaving & selling blankets, rugs & clothing. The mills sadly have dwindled to single figures.
