Now here's a rare find! Beautiful Vintage Welsh wool tapestry coat in gorgeous pale blue, grey, greens & off white/cream. Perfect if you prefer more muted colourway. Woven in Trefriw Woollen Mill & still with the original label attached. Trefriw is the last surviving Mill in North Wales. I'm a 16/18 & this is really snug on me so I'd say would fit a size 12ish. Great as new condition. Buttons to front. Slightly tailored shape. Flapped pockets. Rounded collar. Raglan sleeves.
Back in the day there were 300 working woollen mills in Wales & most would have had a shop with a Tailoress who made clothing. They would also sell lengths of the wool fabric to small fashion houses like Mari Lwyd, Dillad Coracle, Celtique & Eclipse. The mills sadly have dwindled to single figures so you would be wearing a bit of Welsh & midcentury fashion
