Gorgeous vintage 1960s/70s Welsh wool fitted tapestry pea coat/jacket in stunning charcoal grey, red & black colourway. Iconic Welsh style fashion. Rounded collar, unusually tailored, flapped angled pockets to side. Buttons to front. Original labels inside (see pics). Great condition. Size I'd say size large 10/12.
Back in the day there were 300 working woollen mills in Wales & most would have had a shop with a Tailoress who made clothing. They would also sell lengths of the wool fabric to small fashion houses like Mari Lwyd, Dillad Coracle, Celtique & Eclipse (where this one was made). The mills sadly have dwindled to single figures so you would be wearing a bit of Welsh & midcentury fashion
