Gorgeous vintage 1960s/70s Welsh wool tapestry pea coat in stunning charcoal grey, red & black colourway. Iconic Welsh style fashion. Practical large patch pockets to side. Buttons to front. Original labels inside (see pics). Great condition. Size I'd say size 14/small 16 (it's a bit snug on me & I'm a 16/18) but loads of room to take the buttons across (see pic)
Back in the day there were 300 working woollen mills in Wales & most would have had a shop with a Tailoress who made clothing. They would also sell lengths of the wool fabric to small fashion houses like Mari Lwyd, Dillad Coracle, Celtique & Eclipse (where this one was made). The mills sadly have dwindled to single figures so you would be wearing a bit of Welsh & midcentury fashion
