Stunning vintage Welsh wool tapestry cape/poncho in gorgeous mustard yellow, black & cream. Adjustable belt, pockets to front & buttons to side of shoulder. Fabulous A-line shape. Great condition. Original Welsh dragon label. I'd say size 12/14.
Back in the day there were 300 working woollen mills in Wales & most would have had a shop with a Tailoress who made clothing. They would also sell lengths of the wool fabric to small fashion houses like Mari Lwyd, Dillad Coracle, Celtique & Eclipse. The mills sadly have dwindled to single figures so you would be wearing a bit of Welsh & midcentury fashion
