Fabulous vintage 1960s Welsh wool tapestry cape in lovelyshades of green in an unusual circular geometric pattern. Tie belt, pockets to front & buttons up to side. Fabulous A-line shape. Great condition. Original Welsh label. I'd say small size 8/10.
Back in the day there were 300 working woollen mills in Wales & most would have had a shop with a Tailoress who made clothing. They would also sell lengths of the wool fabric to small fashion houses like Mari Lwyd, Dillad Coracle, Celtique & Eclipse. The mills sadly have dwindled to single figures so you would be wearing a bit of Welsh & midcentury fashion
