Fabulous vintage 1960s Welsh wool tapestry cape in stunning & very unusual cream, yellow & brown traditional Caernarfonshire portcullis design. Tie belt, pockets & buttons to front. Fabulous A-line shape. Reat condition. Original Welsh dragon label. I'm a 16/18 & this fits me comfortably.
Back in the day there were 300 working woollen mills in Wales & most would have had a shop with a Tailoress who made clothing. They would also sell lengths of the wool fabric to small fashion houses like Mari Lwyd, Dillad Coracle, Celtique & Eclipse. The mills sadly have dwindled to single figures so you would be wearing a bit of Welsh & midcentury fashion
