Beautiful & rare vintage Welsh wool tapestry blanket in tomato red & ecru/cream. Lovely diamond design by Birlik unique to Rhydybont Mill. Woven in 1980s not long before it closed. Fringe to all four sides. Good condition. Measures approx 245cms x 180cms so nice large size.
Rhydybont was situated in Llanbydder, West Wales which is a historic region for Welsh textile manufacturing. It was producing blankets in the 1960s and sadly closed in 1980s.
