Vintage welsh wool tapestry blanket in traditional Caernarfonshire 'portcullis' design. Lovely vibrant colourway of teal green, cobalt blue, scarlet red & tiny bit of white. The background teal colour is actually an unusual two tone of an emerald green warp & a black weft. Surprisingly soft wool as these old tapestries can tend to be course. Circa late 1960s/early 70s has fringe to 2 sides. Likely woven at Derw Mill - a mill that was in Carmarthenshire & is long gone. Measures approx 220cms x 200 cms. Good condition for age.
