Stunning vintage Welsh wool tapestry blanket in traditional red, white & black - the colour of the Welsh Lady's costume.
This particular blanket was woven in Derw Mill in Carmarthenshire but the design was originally designed by Trefriw as the 'Liquorice Allsort ' pattern & it was later copied by Derw & Rhydybont. Sadly Derw & Rhydybont are now closed but Trefriw remains as the last Mill in North Wales. Good condition for age.
Huge King size. Measures approx 88 inches x 80 inches with fringe to both ends & knife edge border to both long sides. Fully reversible.
