Here's a bit of Welsh history right here! Early antique Welsh tapestry blanket/bedcover a vibrant teal green with vivid orangey red on a terracotta/brick red. Natural dyes. Beautiful double-cloth traditional Caernarfonshire portcullis design. Four knife edge borders running into checkerboard corners. Likely Conwy Valley early 1900s. Very dense weave & tactile texture but not too heavy. Don't find them like this very often. Good condition just a little wear to edges & few nicks that you'dhave to really look for & I'd say large double. Measures approx 88 inches x 74 inches.
