A beautiful and rare antique ceramic jug, likely from the late Victorian or Edwardian era. This unique piece features a striking two-tone design with a vibrant burgundy red/deep pink glazed upper section and a cream-colored lower body adorned with intricate gold gilding. The jug is completed with a functional metal (likely pewter or Britannia metal) hinged lid and a decorative, twisted ceramic handle.Measures approx 8 inches tall. Unmarked as usual for a lot of Victorian pieces but I'd say late 1800's. This is a vintage item with some wear commensurate with age.
